How Cutoff marks will be derived for the recruitment of
various bank process and procedure
Process for Arriving at Standard Scores
The Standard Scores are obtained by adopting the following
procedure:
(i) No of questions answered acceptably by a applicant in
each online exam is Accepted for arriving at the Corrected Score after applying
penalty for wrong answers.
(ii) The Corrected Scores so obtained by a candidate are
made equivalent to take care of the minor difference in difficulty level, if
any, in each of the objective tests held in different sessions to arrive at the
Equated Scores*.
(iii) The Equated Scores so obtained are standardized** to
arrive at Final Standard Score with a minimum ‘0’ and maximum ‘40’ by following
Linear Transformation Method.
This procedure is followed for each of the tests. Cutoffs were applied in two stages:
(i) on standard scores in individual tests
(ii) on Total Weighted Standard Score
Exam date of IBPS CWE Clerk : 30 November 2013/ 1 December 2013/
7 December 2013/ 8 December 2013/ 14 December 2013/ 15 December 2013.
