University grant commission UGC conducts NET and JRF exam twice in a year for post graduate candidates of various subjects. NET is one of the essential qualification for lectureships in various government colleges and universities. 1st NET exam of this year was held on 30 June 2013 and 8 September 2013 at various examination center of all over India. After that UGC published the answer key / question paper solution / correct answer sheet of all set of all booklet code of all subjects. UGC invited objection from participants of UGC net June 2013 for incorrect answers or doubtful answers. After resolving these quarries and objection UGC will start preparation for the merit list subject wise cutoff and results for UGC NET 2013.
UGC will publish top 15% candidates who score the minimum qualifying marks / cutoff marks in there respective category in each paper as well as aggregate cutoff marks. After that this result will be uploaded in pdf file online. candidates can check there roll no only. Marks and other details will be published later and it will be also available online.;

In previous week a very important decision came from Supreme Court regarding UGC net cutoff criteria. Court said that all changes made by UGC in deciding edibility for NET certificate are legal. SC said court will only interrupt to in education related matter when matter will be related to legal provision, or related to irregularity of notification , advertisement. Court said as commission, UGC have rights to deiced what is the best for teaching in university, examination and research related stander.
Last year in UGC changed the eligibility criteria from declaring qualified for NET exam. now only top 15 candidates are eligible for NET certificate and candidates are required to score minimum qualifying marks. all candidates who holds minimum cutoff marks are not necessary to declare qualify for net certificate. Previously it was provision that if a general category candidates will score 40,40 and 50 marks in paper 1,paper 2 and paper respectively , and aggregately score 65 % then he will be eligible for NET certificate but now only top 15 % candidates are eligible for net certificate who complete the above criteria.
So final results and final merit lists of UGC net will be prepared only for top 15% candidates who qualified NET exam .
