IAF AFCAT Exam Results and Cutoff marks 25 August 2013

Indian Air Force every year invites application form from Men and Women to join the Indian air force as commissioned officer in flying Technical and Ground branches. This time a common written exam was held for MEN / WOMEN for following courses commencing in January 2014 
Flying Branch: a no 13 Short Service Commission 13 ssc Course
Technical branch: no 84 aeronautical engineer 84 AEC course Permanent commissions
B : no 56 short service Commission 56 SSC Course
Ground Duty Branches: no 135 ground Duty officer 135 GDOC course permanent commission
B: 28 short Service Commission 28 ssc course 

Courses commencing July 2014
Technical branch: University Entry Scheme UES 2014 permanent commission

For Women / Female category
Flying branch: No 42 short Service Commission 42 SSC Course
Technical branch: no 56 Short Service Commission 56 ssc Course
Ground Duty branch: no 44 short service Commission 44 ssc course

Selection for above courses will be based on the written examination and AFSB. This written exam is known as air force Commission admission Test of AFCAT. 1st afcat of this year held on 24 February 2013 and 2nd afcat exam was held on 25 august 2013 at all over Indian.
Those candidates who participated in this examination they share there exam experience with us.
They told us that question paper of AFCAT exam was containing 100 questions. All questions will carry equal marks. For each correct question each candidates will awarded 3 marks and for each wrong answer one mark will be deducted. Negative marking was applicable so its expectation that cutoff marks will not be high. Total 2 hours had given for attempting the question paper.

Question of AFACT was asked from various fields.

General Awareness – History, Sports, Geography, Environment, Civics, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics etc.
Verbal Ability in English – Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary.
Numerical Ability – Decimal Fraction, Simplification, Average, Profit & loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple interest.
Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test – Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.

A student name Vikas tolds that General awareness question of AFACT was difficult. Verbal ability in English section was easy. Numerical ability related question was average level of difficulty and reasoning section was also easy but military aptitude test was difficult. He attempted 60 questions and expects that 170 marks will be safe score out of 300 marks for general candidates. What do you think what will be expected cutoff marks for AFCAT 25 August 2013.
