Office of the commissioner for government examinations, pareeksha bhavan kerala published notification advertisement no CGI (2)/ 45700/ 2013/ CGE for kerala teacher eligibility test KTET 2013. TET examination basically held for ensuring the quality of primary education in lower primary, upper primary and High school classes.
After the enactment of RTE act 2013, now no teacher will be appointed in government school without qualifying TET examination. So each states conducts there own TET examination for Primary level teachers and junior Level teacher every year. This year Kerala going to held TET exam on September 2013.
In state of kerala three test conducted under Teacher Eligibility Test KTET.
Category 1 Examination is held for those teacher who want to be teacher in lower primary classes.
Category 2 TET examination held for those teachers who want to be teacher in Upper primary Classes
Category 3 examination is held for those teacher who want to be teachers in high School level class.
Another category examination held for Language teacher of various subjects like Arabic, Hindi,
Sanskrit, Urdu ( up to UP classes), Specialist Teachers (Art & Craft) and
Physical Education teachers

For SC/ ST candidates fee will be rs 250 .
