(SUNDAY) 2.00 P.M. TO 5.00 P.M. (4) GEOLOGY PAPER 3

(MONDAY)
Subject No 1 to 5 is compulsory for Candidates competing for posts under both
Category ‐I and Category‐II.
Subject Nos. 1 to 4 are compulsory for Candidates competing for the posts under
Category‐I only.
Subject No. 1 to 3 and 5 are compulsory for Candidates competing for posts under
Category‐II only
Recently Union public service commission invited online application form for the posts of Geologists. Last date of application form Submission has been over on 23 September 2013.
This written exam will be held for following posts and group of Recruitment
Category 1 : post in Geological Survey of India , ministry of Miner
Geologist Group A : 50 posts
Assistant geologist Grade 1 group B : 25 posts
Category 2 : posts in the central ground water board Ministry of water resource
Junior Hydrologists Science B , Group A : 33 posts
Assistant hydrologists group b : 39 posts
30 posts of geologist and 1 posts of assistant geologist are reserved for PWD candidates.
Scheme of the examination Geologist exam question paper pattern
Written exam pattern for geologist posts are follows
General English 3 hour : 100 marks
Geologists paper 1 : 3 hour 200 marks
Geologists paper 2 : 3 hour 200 marks
Geologists paper 3 : 3 hour , 200 marks
Hydrology: 3 hours , 300 marks
Examination in all the subjects will be conventional essay type.
After that those candidates who will declared qualified in written exam they will call for an interview test which will carry 200 marks
